Governor Daniels signed legislation in 2005 that simplified Indiana's laws and encouraged brownfield development. In 2007, he signed another bill designed to support local government redevelopment activity by exempting them from environmental liability when purchasing a contaminated property.

Accept certification of Minority Business Enterprises

In 2005, Governor Daniels issues an executive order recognizing Private Minority Business Enterprise Certification. Minority businesses certified by the Indiana Minority Business Council are now accepted.
